Specialist Notes
First edition of this text partially inspired by the gallant adventures of the author. "This experienced volume was dictated (September 1916) by Marinetti before returning to the front as a volunteer bomber and proofread by Marinetti wounded in the Military Hospital of Udine", Marinetti in fact in the sSeptember 1916 he was convalescing after being wounded by a grenade and during the rest period he reasoned about what most of all it reminded him of the adrenaline rush of war: women. A text that had an extraordinary success and which suffered the moralistic cut by the censorship: pages 131-136 were printed blank because they contained the story of a nun who gives herself to a young swineherd for the good of the entire convent.< /span>
