The sheet is taken from Il Gran Teatro di Venezia or exact description of one hundred of the most famous perspectives and as many famous paintings of the same city, published for the first time in 1717 by Lovisa, publisher in Venice in the first half of the eighteenth century. Composed of around 200 engravings, it reproduces details of the city and works by major Venetian artists.
