Turin, Chirio and Mina Typography, 1839. In 2°. Gilt printed half-title, title page printed in red and gold, text within blue lithograph frames, 7 lithographic plates by Gonin, scattered blushes, some halos, elegant black morocco binding, embossed gold and embossed frames on the plates, in the center of the front field ; crowned monogram "C.A.", on the back plate the coat of arms of the House of Savoy, spine with 4 raised bands with friezes impressed in gold, gilt cuts, peeling and slight deficiencies.
Specialist Notes
Famous work that recalls the court party organized in the Regio Teatro, converting the stalls into an arena to celebrate the visit of Alexander of Russia to Turin. On the handwritten guard sheet "Destined by His Majesty the King to the Count Della Chiesa".
