Title page within a beautiful figured frame, portrait of the author, with 8 (of 11) numbered full-page plates, missing B1-2; B7, tears with loss to B4-5, light marginal foxing, some light halos and small stains. § Linked with by the same author Discourse [...] on the way of making cauterij, ò romperij à corpo humani, in which it is a question of sites, where one has to make, of irons that can be used some ligatures, & some balls, & of the usefulness that comes from them, very useful things not only for barbers, Brescia, Bartolomeo Fontana, 1618. Frontispiece within an illustrated frame, portrait of the author, numerous woodcut illustrations in the text, flourishes, some small stain, slight water stain on the last pages, coeval parchment binding, handwritten title on the spine, slightly loose from the body of the text, defects. Ownership stamp on the back cover, ex libris on the verso of the title page and on the back cover.

Important treatise on the practice of bloodletting written by the barber and surgeon from Piacenza Pietro Paolo Magni (1425-1586) which contains full-page engravings attributable to Adamo Ghisi Mantuano depicting scenes of bloodletting and operations on various parts of the body.< /p>
