Specialist Notes
The work collects a series of prophecies on the future political situation of Britain expressed in an emblematic and arcane language. It is inspired by Prophetiae Merlini compiled bythe Benedictine monk Geoffrey of Monmouth around 1134 and later inserted into the Historia regum Britanniae, a famous work dedicated to Robert of Gloucester.
