Turin, Biacardi, 1861. In 16th, pp. 525 with a plate engraved on copper and colored in watercolor on double sheet, depicting an officer in uniform and insignia, the ranks of the various corps. Linked with: First appendix to the Code of the Guard National and form of related documents for the lawyer Edoardo Bellono. Turin, Biancardi, 1863. 16°, pp. 280 with a plate engraved on copper and colored in watercolor, on double sheet, depicting four soldiers in the uniform of the various corps. Linked with: Second appendix to the Code of the National Guard containing the law on the MOBILE GUARD with comments and other provisions preceded by "Brief notes on the ancient institution of the citizen militia in Piedmont" for the lawyer Edoardo Bellono. Turin, Biancardi, 1862. 16°, pp. 215 with a plate engraved on copper f.t. "models of the rank badges to be affixed on the officers' coat", slight defects, coeval full brown leather binding, cords, title in gold and embossed friezes on the spine, embossed frame on the tears.

Specialist Notes

Complete collection of the two appendices. The National Guard of the Sardinian States, modeled on the analogous French body, was established by Carlo Alberto in 1848, and subsequently governed by various legislative and administrative acts. In 1861 the Italian National Guard was created.
