Heads, initials, woodcut ends, text on two columns, with 2 beautiful plates folded out of the text engraved in copper, 231 woodcut illustrations, five full-page illustrations by Scotin, some rare blossoms and small stains, very slight halo of humidity on some I vol. papers, some slightly burnished papers, coeval full parchment binding, title stamped in gold on the smooth spine, blue spray cuts, slight defects. Paper ex libris for counterplates.

New, enlarged edition of this famous dictionary by the agronomist and parish priest of Saint-Vincent de Lyon, Noel Chomel (1632? -1712), first printed in 1709.
