Vienna, J. Schrambl, 1804. In 4th. Front door with portrait of the author engraved in copper, with 72 full-page engraved plates, 2 of which folded, light browning and some stains, rear brown calfskin binding, worn back. Ownership note on the guard sheet.

Specialist Notes

First edition of this fencing manual. The author served as an officer in Austria and was recognized as an authority by the Austrian nobility on the subject of fencing. In France he was considered one of the best students of the famous Danet who in turn was recognized as an authority in the field of fencing of the century. XIX.
