In 8. 2 parts in 1 volume each with its own title page and with typographic mark, ornate initials, numerous illustrations engraved in wood in the text, at the end of the volume handwritten notes of ancient hand, & nbsp; title page and several papers with compensated gaps, halos, defects, binding of the century. XVII in half brown leather, on the back piece in red leather with gold title, slight defects.
Specialist Notes
Rare Italian edition of the work of the Portuguese physician and botanist, first published in Goa in 1563. The second part contains an incomplete translation of the work of Nicolas Monardes. The author was sent in 1534 as court physician to the Portuguese Indies, where he remained for about thirty years dedicating himself to the study of medicinal plants. He was the first to study cholera in those countries, he also studied snake venoms and became involved in physiotherapy. & Nbsp;
