Venice, Aldo and Andrea Torresani, 1521 . In 8th. 2 parts in 1 volume. Second part printed in Greek, letterpress on the title page and at the end of the volume spaces for initials with guide letters, reinforcement on the title paper, slight scattered specks, coeval parchment binding, brown leather insert with author and title in gold on the smooth spine, back restorations and lacks. Ex libris glued to the front counterplate.

Specialist Notes

First Aldine edition of the works of Apuleius, with Alcinoo's treatise on Plato added at the end of the work. Adams A1362; Renouard 91/8; Ahmanson-Murphy 202.
