Nella mappa sono raffigurati i territori o parti di Uzbekistan, Kazakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Azerbaigian e Iran. Fu pubblicata nel 1735 a Norimberga dal cartografo austriaco Iohann Peter van Ghelen (Vienna 1673-1754) sulla base dei rilievi di Abraham Maas, il quale realizzò la mappa nel 1728 a San Pietroburgo per lo zar Pietro il Grande.
