In 8 °, Illustrated with 18 plates, including the front door and the vignette on the frontispiece, engraved in copper with aquatint, most protected by vellum, engraved by Rowlandson and Williams, scattered redness, at a corner of the frontispiece with restoration, elegant coeval binding in blue Moroccan, to the fillet frame plates, to the back with 5 nerves title and decorative elements, all embossed in gold.
Specialist Notes
Original edition of one of the most characteristic English caricature works of the 1800s, accompanied by the beautiful & nbsp; engravings made in the manner of Hogart. The work written by William Combe was written and published in 1812. The clumsy doctor became very popular, and was an inspiration for many imitators and parodies, and the work we presented is one of them.
