Full-page portrait of the author in the front door protected by tissue paper, on the title page an engraved vignette depicting a view of Villar, 1 folded geographical map of the Waldensian Valleys, with 70 plates out of text engraved by WH Bartlett and W. Brockedon, ievi marginal blooms and reddening , half leather binding of the time, spine with 5 nerves, with title and author imprinted in gold within a gusset on the spine, defects on the spine.

Perret 323, notes: "The premier album anglais publié sur l'Oisans et le Dauphiné au début du XIX siècle, superbement illustré. The comporte également des planches sur la Savoie et le Piémont.
