Specialist Notes

Beautiful set of seventeenth-century historical reports. Galeazzo Gualdo Priorato (Vicenza, 23 July 1606 - 1678) was an Italian historian and writer. A man of arms and historian, he had a very active life that led him to give his services as a soldier under various banners. In fact, he fought under the command of Maurice of Nassau and Wallenstein. He was an important witness of his time, thanks to fluent writing and an impressive ability to collect data.
