Padua, Salmin, 1897. cm. 1.7 x 1.2. Portrait of Galileo engraved on the front door, binding in editorial cardboard with printed titles on the plate and on the spine, very slight ink stain on the front plate, slight traces of use, inside Moroccan case with plates decorated in dry and gold, author , title, publisher and year stamped in gold on the spine, slight defect on the front hinge.
Specialist Notes
One of the most renowned miniature books, most likely the smallest scientific book, and certainly the smallest printed with movable type known as "fly's eye", first used by Salmin in 1878 for the edition of Dante. The book consists of 208 pages, of which each page contains 9 lines and each of them has a maximum of three words. Welsh 2935.
