Information
Venice, F. Marcolini, 1553. In 8 ° grande. Woodblock letterpress on the title page and another different one engraved full-page at the end within a medallion with architectural elements with volutes and plants, elegant figured drop caps at the beginning of each canto, text in italics printed on 2 columns, gaps compensated for the title page and various cards some stains, binding of the century. XIX in red leather, back with 4 nerves, dry-embossed friezes and author compartments, peeling.
Specialist Notes
Casali in Francesco Marcolini's Annals of Venetian Typography considers this edition (see no.101) to be a counterfeit of the 1550 edition.
