Florence, Filippo Giunti, 1590. In 4th. Typographic mark on the title page, friezes and initials engraved in wood, blooms, some burnished papers, seventeenth century binding in spray-painted leather, 4-rib spine with gold impressions, red Moroccan gusset with author and title in gold, skinning flat, woodworm holes in the back, ends of the back with some gaps. Ex libris manuscript on the title page "Del Conte Antonio Costerbosa Parmigiano".

Second edition of this interesting collection of orations held by Varchi on different topics: nature, generation of the human body, painting and sculpture, love, eyes, poetry. Dedication to Giovanni de 'Medici, Vita del Varchi written by Silvano Razzi, index finally compiled by Aurelio Biondi who added his own sonnet, the last register card.
