Information
Modena, Chamber of Commerce, 1832, 1833, 1834. In 2 °. 3 vols containing the gazettes from num. 142 to 220 (I tome), from 221 to 376 (II tome) and from 377 to 533 (III tome). Frontispiece of the first tome detached, light browning of some papers, few small spots, coeval half leather binding with title within a gusset and friezes embossed in gold on the spine, small gaps in the caps, some woodworm holes.
Specialist Notes
Gazzetta directed by Carlo Galvani, close to the intransigent positions of Francesco IV D'Austria-Este. The Duke often published articles in the periodical and often also his wife, Maria Beatrice Vittoria di Savoia. It soon became an expression of the most anti-liberal voices of Central Italy, often carrying out attacks, even very aggressive ones, against Giuseppe Mazzini and the Young Italy.
