Specialist Notes
Interesting poem in Latin hexameters divided into 12 books, each dedicated to a zodiac sign. The enigmatic author, wrapped in an aura of mystery due to the vague biographical information, investigates the astrological and above all metaphysical matters by introducing satirical digressions towards the ecclesiastics, which is why the treatise has been put on the index. The inclusion of the work in the index did not allow the work to spread in Italy, the first edition was printed in Venice in 1536, while in Europe it achieved considerable success, especially among libertine circles.
