black, with large intaglio vignette, large topographic table outside the text
folded several times, engraved in copper by Giuseppe Benedetti, tear on the paper, some
reddening and slight bluing on a few papers, contemporary binding in calfskin
brown, 5-rib back, red leather gusset compartments with gold title
and decorations of small gold festoons, red cuts. Ancient note of possession
to the guard sheet.

Rare
second and final enlarged edition (the first,
in only three books is from 1743) of this important work, complete with the beautiful one
“Topographic map of the contours of Genoa and the two valleys of Polcevera e
Bisagno with its adjacencies ". The author, Duke of Massanova, entrusted the revision
historian of the work to Ludovico Muratori. Melzi III, 109.
