Florence, Giunti, 1602. In 4th. Florentine lily on the title page, widespread blooms, modern cardboard binding. Note of ownership by Leone Del Prete on the guard sheet, where it is also claimed to come from the Cioni collection in Florence.
Specialist Notes
In the dedicatory letter of the printer Modesto Giunti a Cosimo III, he declares to have received the text from Baccio Valori, to whom Borghini had dedicated the operetta. "The way of finding the origin with continued descendants, and how the use of saying will make the tree of our families runs, how and how it is to be searched too far back is so difficult at these times, and impeded, that can say closed at all .... ".
