Specialist Notes
First and only edition of one of the most curious and elegant fencing treatises dedicated to the English gentleman Don Kenelmo Giorgio Digby. The plates engraved by Bertelli seem to be inspired by the genius of Callot. Each portrays two or more figures of soldiers in their equipment and curious and picturesque costumes; 34 are related to the fight with the pike, 4 with the halberd and 15 with the musket.
