On the frontispiece is the coat of arms of the city of Milan within an elaborate frame of architectural and allegorical motifs; on the title page of the second part are the coats of arms of the city of Milan, engraved on copper by Cesare Bassano based on a design by Crespi, known as Cerano; woodcut initials and tailpieces; the title page of the first part is missing; some slight marginal browning; very rare foxing; contemporary hardback binding; handwritten title on the spine; minor defects.
