The edition is dedicated to the grammarian Battista Guarino, Aldo's teacher during his stay in Ferrara (ca. 1475-82). In curating the work, Aldo was joined by Francesco Rossi, who was identified with a certain Francesco Rossetti, a teacher in Venice and collaborator in various printers. Most of the texts presented here are in EDITIO PRINCEPS (12 idylls out of 30 by Theocritus, the work of Theognis, the sentences of the Seven Sages, the Theogony of Hesiod, the Shield of Heraclides, etc.). of shapes. The minimum price set by Aldo for the volume was 8 markers. Renouard 5/3; IGI 9497; Scapecchi 7.
