Paris, D'Amyot, 1854-1869. In 4th. 5 vols. Portrait on the frontispiece of the first volume, light browning, light foxing, early 19th century binding. XX in Fratelli Binda green leather, with fillet frames stamped in gold and black on the plates, golden Napoleonic coat of arms in the centre, gold titles and friezes on the spine, gilding on the backplates, decorated paper guards, some light abrasions on the caps. § Oeuvre posthumes et autographes inédits de Napoleon III. Paris, Lachaud, 1873. In 4th. A portrait, some facsimile reproductions, slight foxing, light browning, identical binding, defect on the hinge. Attached is a note dated 4 February 1934, signed by Mr. J.J. O'Meara, descendant of Napoleon I's personal doctor.
