Paper manuscript from the first half of the seventeenth century, 340 x 210 mm., papers [1], 265 n.n. (of which 12 are blank), clear and elegant humanistic writing with two octaves per page, reference at the end of the page, title page in capital letters enclosed in a triple fillet frame, marginal blooms on some leaves, contemporary binding in full parchment with title at back.
Specialist Notes
This is a beautiful copy of Lippi's famous masterpiece, almost certainly preceding the first printed edition which appeared in 1676 (Florence, G.T.Rossi).
