In Naples, with Stefano Abbate, 1739. 4th, pp.(12)-228. Blooms, light browning. Coeval binding in full parchment, cords, gusset, title and gold friezes on the spine, frame and large "Fleuron" dry engraved on the plates, colored cuts, slight defects.
Specialist Notes
Extremely rare original edition. See Giustiniani, I, pag. 232:”Born in Castellammare di Stabia in the last century and wanted to appear in the republic of letters by publishing a work entitled “On the laws and their use”. If Toppi had been alive he would certainly have called him "Doctor Celeberrimo".
