He completed his education in Greece, in Athens, where he began to compose, during his stay in a villa in Attica, the Noctes Atticae, a document of his scholarly activity. In twenty books, almost all of which have come down to us with the exception of the eighth, a wealth of curiosities, considerations, critical sketches, grammatical singularities, curious information, passages from little-known authors (several hundreds) are collected, which constitutes a real source of information for scholars. and its own mine of information.
