Toscolano, Alessandro Paganino, between 1527 and 1533]. In 8th. Elegant italics, first drop cap decorated with a criblé background, spaces for drop caps with guide letters, the printer's name on the reverse of the last leaf within a double fillet frame, rear binding.
Specialist Notes
Rare original edition of the first Italian translation of the Historie adversus paganos. The translator to whom Paganino commissioned the work is difficult to identify, but it was very successful.
