Important edition, rare in 5 rare volumes to find itself on the antiques market, of the scholar of archaeology Christian Josep Wilpert. He was part of the archeology commission Christian and published monographs on the paintings of the catacombs of Ss. Pietro and Marcellino (1892), of S. Callisto (1897), of the church of S. Clemente (1906), on the tombs of the popes in S. Callisto (1909), on the tomb of S. Pietro (1922) and various articles.
