In 4°, work bound in two volumes, vignette engraved on copper on the title page, pp. 478-(2) with 30 tables f.t. designed by Alessandro Focosi (Milan, 1839-ibid., 1869) and finely engraved on copper by Giuseppe Buccinelli. Contemporary binding mz. leather, title and gold decorations on the spine.
Specialist Notes
First illustrated edition of this historical novel by Rosini which had wide notoriety in our nineteenth century, which appeared in the original edition in 1829.
