In 8°, title pages enclosed in an elegant ornamental frame, vols. 2, pp. 444; 371 with a frontispiece with a letter dedicated to the Unification of Italy surmounted by the allegory of Italy and small full-length portraits of Garibaldi and Vittorio Emanuele, a panel depicting a machine inflating a balloon and 111 explanatory figures, all engraved on copper, scattered light foxing, contemporary binding mz. leather, title and friezes in gold, some peeling, slight defects.
