Information
Venice, Apud Jacobum Tomasinum, 1716. In 4°. With eight figures engraved in the text, two of which are full-page, depicting the Column of Antoninus Pius and the Tarantula that lives in Terra d'Otranto (p. 400). Some woodworm, light browning, contemporary leather binding, handwritten title on the spine. Parchment, title and decorations in gold on the spine, colored edges, minor defects. Signature on the title page.
Specialist Notes
The illustration of the tarantula (page 400) precedes his well-known treatise on the spider in Salento in the 17th century (Rome 1696).
