Information
Basel, per Ioannem Oporinum, [1564]. In 8°. Text in Latin and Greek, title page relined and remounted, some small reddening, small ink stain in the lower right corner of some leaves, contemporary parchment binding, handwritten title on the spine.
Specialist Notes
The work, dedicated to Nicolaus Olahus, Bishop of Eger and Chancellor of Hungary and Bohemia, is probably attributable to Johannes Ramus (Jan Tack, Goes 1535 – Dole 1578), a professor of rhetoric and Greek in Vienna. New features in this edition also include a preface by Philipp Melanchthon.
