Rare pair of portraits of General Giuseppe Garibaldi (Nice, 4 July 1807 – Caprera, 2 June 1882) and Giuseppe Mazzini (Genoa, 22 June 1805 – Pisa, 10 March 1872), architects of the Italian Risorgimento, created as a textile tapestry on a loom.
Depicted half-length, Mazzini is surrounded by scrolls that read GOD AND PEOPLE - THOUGHT AND ACTION
They each measure approximately 440x450 mm in maximum dimensions, on an octagonal support, original propaganda from the 1870s, in excellent condition
