Information
Autograph letter signed by the writer and politician, dated Rome 9 June (1920?)
Three pages, where the father of Italian nationalism refuses to add his signature " because it's not convenient for you and I can't. Be the movement yourselves... don't embody it with men linked to other parties, even those with very nationalist leanings ." He then continues: " ...I can't because my monarchist thinking is part of my general nationalist doctrine... "
These statements can be attributed to an attempt by the nascent fascist party to secure the support of the well-known propagandist of Italian nationalism. In reality, despite the refusal stated in this letter, the ANI movement would merge with the fascist movement, although Corradini would largely remain aloof.
