Signed card of Alessandro Del Piero wearing the Italy jersey, published by Panini for the 2024/25 FIFA Select series. Numbered out of 49. For over a decade, "Pinturicchio" was the symbol of Italian technical quality, making his debut at a very young age and appearing in three World Cups and four European Championships. The high point and most cathartic moment of his Azzurri career undoubtedly remains the 2006 World Cup in Germany. His goal at the end of extra time in the semi-final against the hosts, a curling right-footed shot into the top corner following a perfect counterattack, has remained etched in the collective memory as one of the most iconic images in Italian sport. A few days later, in Berlin, his composure from the spot in the shootout against France contributed decisively to Italy's victory in a fourth World Cup.
