How bidding works

Information

with elongated ovoid body and flared neck on a patinated dark brown-black ground. The decoration in relief, engraving and partial gilding with naturalistic floral motifs on two registers separated by a Greek key frieze; on the front flowering branches of peony and chrysanthemum on a dark ground engraved with cloud scrolls, on the reverse pomegranate branches and vegetal motifs on an engraved ground with cranes among clouds, rendered in fine engraving on the neck. The base of the lower register is decorated with a continuous frieze of foliate scrolls in relief. Incised signature at the base.
