with a carved jade handle and a gilded bronze frame featuring relief work, decorated with motifs of butterflies, flowers, and symbols of good fortune, and embellished with jade cabochons and other polychrome semi-precious stones; at the center of the back is a circular openwork jade plaque bearing the shuangxi (double happiness) character, set among bats and plant motifs.
