Specialist Notes

The Eighteen Arhats, known in Chinese as Shíbā Luóhàn, are enlightened disciples of the Buddha. After the Buddha's passing, they were entrusted with the mission of protecting the teachings of Buddhism and safeguarding the world. Each Arhat has a unique personality and appearance: some hold scriptures, others ride sacred animals, some smile warmly, while others have a serious look. They embody various virtues such as kindness, wisdom, and spiritual strength, reflecting the many facets of human nature.
