Information

globular in shape with a short neck, rounded shoulder and flared base, accompanied by a domed lid with a button knob, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, the shoulder features circular medallions in white reserve with stylised floral motifs on a diagonal lattice ground, the body with naturalistic scenes in the round depicting birds among rocks, peony flowers, chrysanthemums and aquatic vegetation, with a landscape of a lake and distant mountains in the background. The lower band features a continuous motif of waves or scrolls. The lid repeats the same decorative style with plant and floral motifs.
