h 18.2 cm and h 17.9; cm bases 12x8 cm
One with a mouse in its mouth, the other scratching its snout. Both sitting on a patch of grass.

Blue sword mark just visible under the base of the cat and mouse.
The cat with the mouse has restorations to the tips of the ears, the mouse, the tail and the base.
The other cat has a slight chip on the ear and a small cooking defect.
Two similar cats, dating back to around 1750 and resting on wooden bases, are preserved at the Accorsi Foundation in Turin (A. D'Agliano, L. Melegati, I Fragili Lussi. Porcellane di Meissen da musei e collezione italiane, exhibition catalogue 2001, p. 134, no. 111).
