Information
Flared form on ring foot. The fish bowl, with swimming fish on a cobalt-blue ground beneath a pointed geometric motif, is fully decorated inside with the same design together with a scroll of leaves and flowers.
The fish motif (māhī) is auspicious, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, and is often found in Kashan popular production of the early 20th century.
