Specialist Notes

André Tacquet (Antwerp, 1612 – 1660) was a Flemish mathematician and Jesuit priest who devoted his life to the study and teaching of mathematics, maintaining a firm connection to the classical geometric tradition. His works played a significant role in the dissemination of Euclidean geometry and the study of curves, surfaces, and solids.
