Extremely important baton belonging to Colonel/Lieutenant General Álvaro Sueiro Vilariño; the gold head is shaped like a tower with six sides, each of which features the main stages of the general's career: "REGIMIENTO DE INFANTERÍA 46’, "51ª DIVISIÓN – 1ª BRIGADA", "51 DIVISIÓN INFANTERÍA DIVISIONARIA", "GRUPO 8", “ALBARRACÍN” and "53ª DIVISIÓN – 1ª BRIGADA"; at the top of the first inscription there are small ruby-red cut glass stones; Each of the faces has beautiful columns on the sides and small frames in relief at the bottom depicting crossed swords and rifles on a trumpet (except for the side called "GRUPO 8", which has a frame with two crossed rifles on a crescent moon). At the top of the tower there is a disc-shaped knob set with sparkling stones that form a sparkling crown around the intertwined monogram "AS". The tower features two marks at the base: a small ram's head and the number "18", French Moroccan marks certifying a gold alloy of 750 ‰ (18 kt). Wooden shaft covered with a tortoiseshell-like paste, polished to a mirror finish with a brown-amber marbled design. The tower-shaped base is made of gilded silver (missing parts) with a spherical bottom. Octagonal band with ring provided with a cord with two tassels of gilded threads. Complete with its fantastic case in Granada marquetry, the lid (small missing parts at the corners) has a central band in relief, polychrome inlays of bone and mother-of-pearl, green-verdigris backgrounds, the letters “AS” at the ends and, in the centre, the shahāda (“لا إله إلا الله”, "There is no God but Allah") engraved on a lock plate with a dark background. The interior is honey-coloured satin stamped "JOYERIA ROMERA GRANADA"; the lining has a silver plate engraved "Los Jefes y Oficiales del Reg.to 46 a su Coronel"; complete with key; item of the highest quality.
