The edge and front, which is slightly detached and held in place by a thin leather strap, feature embossed brass friezes with the Lion of St. Mark secured by two rivets. The strap is fastened with a brass button on the top and features an Austrian imperial eagle with the inscription “ARCH I D..AUST DUX - BURG....1780” (not entirely legible) on the edge. The interior is lined with black silk (slightly damaged).
