Ventail plate ribbed at the center and provided with upper edge featuring a thick, smooth rope with a outward turn, a long air hole at the center with edge slightly bent outward. The lower edge of the ventail of pointed shape. The beavor, ribbed at the center, continues the outline of the ventail. On the upper edge old holes to mount the padding. On the right side, a spring-loaded stud for securing the ventail in the raised position, operated by internal pressure. The long neck guard is cusped at the bottom and features a central rib. Attached to the bevor with seven rivets. The upper edge bears a small raised decorative motif. Fine old dark-brown patina on the reverse of the components. Mounting holes are present both at the base of the neck guard and on the sides. Western Europe, most likely Spain.
