height total circa 36,5 cm.
Hemispherical iron skull, of slightly oblong section, with a cap divided by deep grooves converging at the top into sixteen segments. The outer surface is completely covered with a dense pattern of racemes made of gold. Inside each groove is a raised ribbed band, completely gilded. The lower margin is bordered by a golden ring and decorated with a frame also with gold racemes. At the top, a plume-holder shaped as a truncated cone placed on a petal-shaped base, also embellished with golden designs. The two front plume-holders are similar, with the nosepiece between them. The nosepiece has festooned cartridge extractors at both ends and is also decorated with gold designs. It can be adjusted to two heights by unhooking the special strap that allows it to be adjusted. The iron mail neck-defense has simple rings and a border with long fringes.
