Heavy, octagonal, rifled, 16 cal. barrel (bore with slight pitting and visible rifling) browned, base marked "C" within a shield, space for a rear sight (rear sight removed for peep sight), precision front sight, clutch for the bayonet; long tang provided with peep sight. Forward spring lock with "Pasteur a Yverdon" signature between spirals. Wooden full stock with steel mounts. Wooden pommel with iron leg, still featuring its original leather covering. Set trigger. Working mechanism. Horn-tipped, wooden ramrod with brass base. With iron bayonet provided with leather scabbard with brass chape.
