Straight single-and-false-edged blade with sawback, bearing remains of floral engraving; surface with signs of use and age, pitting and small missing parts. Solid brass hilt formed in one piece with the grip; rectangular-section guard engraved with floral motifs, the enlarged circular terminals bearing a stylised fleur-de-lys. Finely worked lion’s-head pommel, octagonal-section grip. Thick leather scabbard with brass mounts. Minor traces of gilding to the pommel and throat. Rare with its scabbard.
